The TRIPURE® Tritium Condensation Apparatus condenses the tritium contained in water. The tritium concentration in ground water and seawater is utilized as one index of radioactive contamination. Since the tritium concentration is an extremely low amount, it is necessary to concentrate the water for measurement.
A safe concentration procedure of the water can be performed in a short time, by the water electrolytic method, which is a unique technology of PERMELEC. Features
The troublesome addition of electrolytes and pH control are not necessary, by electrolyzing pure insulated water with the solid polyelectrolyte membrane electrolysis technology. Since the hydrogen gas and oxygen gas are separated and discharged, the safety is improved. The concentration time is reduced by enabling high current electrolysis.
